Kristin Fisher joined the CNN Space and Defense Correspondent team in July of 2021. As a correspondent, she is responsible for covering everything from NASA's newly-created Space Force to commercial space businesses and the advent space tourism. Kristin was her mother was one of NASA astronauts, and also a space enthusiast, grew up immersed in the industry. She served for five years as the White House correspondent for FOX News covering space policy during the Biden and Trump administrations. In that period, she also covered two presidential impeachment trials, the 2020 presdiential campaign and two administration's efforts to contain the pandemic of coronavirus. In addition, she went on trips with President Trump and Vice President Biden often. The trip included a shady trip to Afghanistan. Kristin worked her way through the local news markets of Grand Junction, Colorado, Little Rock, Arkansas, as well as Washington, D.C. for over a decade before being hired by the network. Kristin was the recipient of the Emmy Award in Washington, D.C. for her work as an CBS affiliate's single-man reporter. Kristin as an experienced filmmaker, established Field Mouse Films, a company that specializes in documentary-style films with clients like Uber and Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin received her Bachelor of Science Diploma in Journalism from Boston University. She is currently living in Washington, D.C., with her family, including their 3-year-old daughter.
